Global problems can only be tackled by diverse solutions from diverse sources. Island Carbon Consult use what we call a “partnership island ecosystem” model. The partners are all around the globe interconnected, we tap into that ecosystem. From students to scientists, policy analysts to innovators, from island community veterans to international organizations. We embrace diversity and want diversity in any project, research or opinion piece we put out, as long as we are all aligning to the same goals of the Paris Agreement.
Commitment to Sustainable Development Goals (SDG’s)
In September of 2015, 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) were adopted by the United Nations. Island Carbon Consult is being part of the solutions in alignment with SDG 7, 9, 11, 13 & 17 and Sendai Framework E & G.
Our Vision
The science is out and all points to a near irreversible climate catastrophe for planet Earth. IPCC reports recommends colossal global abatement of Greenhouse Gas (Ghg) emissions are needed as of right now. We as global citizens need to accelerate the low carbon transition and reverse the Ghg emissions trend. Island Carbon Consult vision is to be at the nexus of science meeting policy, sustainable energy, environment and economics, making it work for SIDS.
